Minitations™ are sound meditations for people to practice where or when they are able, even on the go if necessary, to catch a moment to calm. Turn on your speakers, favorite pair of headphones or earbuds for optimum listening. These are about 1-2 minutes in length. Take three good breaths - sometimes it helps to place your right hand on your belly and your left hand near your heart. When you breathe in, allow your diaphragm, located at the base of your lungs and just above your abdomen, to expand with the breath in and contract with the breath out. Make the out breath a little longer than the in breath. Use these sound Minitations™ to work with the stillness in between sounds. Here’s how! Practice listening to, and following the sound’s decrescendo, as it quiets, all the way until it has dissipated and you don’t perceive the physical sound anymore. You may still though sense the nature of the sound, and you can follow it beyond your mind’s horizon. Your mind and the stillness of the sound are in perfect harmonic balance at that point. Be calm and comfortable in this stillness. Allow your mind to just be for a moment, in the calm, in a state of openness. Remember what it feels like to be there. You can practice these techniques anywhere, anytime, on the go, at work, at home, and repeat as needed. They are effective to calm the mind and reset.. 🎧
